This is a wonderful, authentic piece of vintage costume jewelry from the respected American manufacturer, Bell Trading Post. The pin is crafted from solid copper and designed to resemble a stylized moth, fly, or butterfly, featuring finely textured, feather-like leaf wings and distinctive coiled antennae.
The material is confirmed by a stamp reading "SOLID COPPER" on the reverse, a hallmark of the Southwestern copper jewelry craze. While this specific pin is unmarked with the 'Bell' name, the pattern is clearly identified as a design produced by Bell Trading Post, placing its era firmly in the Mid-20th Century (approx. 1950s-1970s). The rich copper color has developed a beautiful, natural patina, enhancing the texture of the metal. This naturalistic piece has a strong Southwestern aesthetic and fastens with a standard rollover clasp.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The copper has a natural, attractive patina and the pin clasp is fully functional and secure.
